Nick was the very last kid let into the most selective school in NSW. While other kids had tutors, he had ADHD. Things did not go well. By the end of year 12, he'd been suspended three times and been involved in drugs, alcohol and the wrong side of the law.
His 20s were a mess. In and out of hospital, court and unemployment lines, drugs and alcohol turned into full-blown addictions, and by the age of 30 the longest he'd held onto a full time job was six months.
At 34, he hit rock bottom. The only way was up.
He attended therapy and addiction recovery, turned his life around one step at a time, and got things back on track. He learned that with the right mindset, tools and support, anyone can change, and built an obsession with personal development, positive psychology and helping others change their lives.
He has since helped over 15,000 students, parents and teachers in over 100 schools through mental health & resilience keynotes and workshops, completed a Diploma of Counselling and Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, and built an Instagram following of over 40,000 people, then stopped promoting it to students when he learned what social media does to young brains.
When he's not busy being a 'Professional Uncle', Nick enjoys being a real one to his niece and nephew, Chloe and Jack.
